Organization
Agrico is a world player in the market-oriented development of potato varieties and in the cultivation and marketing of high-quality seed and ware potato varieties.
With 12 offices here in the Netherlands and abroad and an extensive international network of partner organizations, we are directly connected with local markets and are able to deliver value worldwide, customized to specific needs and in the local language.
Agrico facts & figures
The Netherlands is a leader in the field of certified seed potatoes. This certification demonstrates that we thoroughly monitor and inspect our seed potatoes during cultivation. As a result, buyers worldwide can count on receiving healthy, strong seed potatoes, which is the best guarantee for excellent growth. The Netherlands has a worldwide market share of more than 60% in certified seed potatoes.
The Agrico cooperative
Agrico was established with the aim of using its shared ambition and knowledge to deliver added value for the affiliated growers and for society as a whole. This partnership is the “seed” of our cooperative.
Agrico has grown to become a cooperative of more than 1,500 Dutch growers. These growers are our members, and Agrico values their involvement and influence very highly indeed. This is reflected in the management of our organization.
Dutch branches
Agrico has three different locations in the Netherlands. The head office and Quality Center are located in Emmeloord (Noordoostpolder). Knowledge institute Agrico Research is located in Bant (Noordoostpolder).
Agrico is directly involved in and connected with the various links in the chain. This enables us to deliver added value in the potato value chain and to respond immediately to changing needs.
International
With our roots firmly in Dutch soil, we now export our products to more than 80 countries. Our head office in the Netherlands coordinates sales and the introduction of new varieties, backed up by an extensive international network with eleven branches in other countries.

Agrico is a global leader in the market for certified seed potatoes and has a net turnover of EUR 320,000,000. We supply 76 high-quality potato varieties. With 12 branches at home and abroad, we export to more than 80 countries. We have more than 60 international partner companies and are active in all countries where potatoes are grown. Agrico operates its own trials all over the world. We are also a leader in fresh ware potatoes and organically grown potatoes in the Netherlands.
