Certification
Agrico is committed to supplying a professional and sustainable high-quality product from which everyone can benefit. The first stage in our quality process comprises fixed agreements with trusted and affiliated growers, planned inspections, and effective on-site cultivation efforts. In addition, we are investing in the future and in our partnership with our external parties who monitor our methods on the basis of certifications.
Certificates are mandatory to ensure that food safety standards are met. Each potato segment has its own legislation and requirements, and Agrico naturally complies with these laws and regulations. Agrico is essentially a large group of growers and is a leader in the sector when it comes to complying with certification in each segment.
The following is an explanation of some of our certificates.
SKAL
This inspection organization checks whether organic products comply with European regulations. Agrico works fully in accordance with the requirements of SKAL certification. Download our SKAL certificate.
GMP+
This scheme is mainly intended for food businesses marketing residual products in the feed sector. This GMP+ certification enables Agrico to demonstrate that ingredients for animal feeds comply with the legal requirements and with requirements above and beyond the law, as agreed with chain parties. On the way to PlanetProof
Agrico is 'on the way to PlanetProof' certified for potatoes. Agrico’s potatoes are produced more sustainably and are therefore better for nature, the environment, the climate and animals. Demeter
The Demeter quality mark strengthens biodynamic (BD) agriculture. This quality mark is applied to products originating from controlled BD agriculture. Demeter quality is guaranteed through a certification system for biodynamic farmers and for the processors of their products. Download our Demeter certificate.
QS
The QS quality scheme for food is the leading standard for food safety in Germany and stands for quality assurance from farm to shop. QS certified products can be recognized by the QS certification mark. It signals the cross-stage compliance with the QS standards for the production and marketing of meat and meat products, fruit, vegetables and potatoes as well as assured processes and the quality of the products.
Strict rules apply to all participating companies in Germany and abroad, for example regarding traceability and hygiene. Auditors and independent certification bodies check regularly whether all requirements are met. As a scheme participant of QS, Agrico complies with the requirements of the QS scheme.
