Why Agrico?

Our contribution to excellent growth goes beyond just the supply of high-quality seed potatoes and consumer potatoes. Our approach to collaboration is underpinned by our involvement with our customers, and our sense of joint responsibility for their good growth results. We’re very happy to provide extensive advice on the correct cultivation methods, harvesting, storage and logistics, not only upon delivery, but afterwards too.

The Agrico advantage

At Agrico, we are committed to, and invest in, knowledge and research. This has enabled us to cultivate a wide range of unique potato varieties that display effective resistance, strong variety characteristics and a high yield. In our greenhouse complex we also carry out extensive research into watering methods, and we mimic day and night conditions and different climates. Thanks to these innovations, we’re growing even better varieties for the future.

NAK inspecting quality seed potato field

Independent certification

Our seed potatoes are independently inspected and certified by the NAK (General Inspection Service for Agricultural Seed and Seed Potatoes). The NAK conducts visual inspections in the field and carries out additional research into the possible presence of viruses, bacterial diseases, and deficiencies. Certification demonstrates that our seed potatoes are healthy and meet the high standards as developed by the Seed Potato Sector.

In addition to NAK certification, Agrico further guarantees the quality of its potatoes by monitoring the internal and external quality of all lots delivered. The Agrico Quality Center is equipped with modern processing lines and climate chambers that provide us with a clear idea of the disease level and germination capacity in each batch. This enhances our ability to determine the quality of the lots we deliver.
